Donate Supplies

Our Weekend BackPack Program and School Supplies Program welcome food and supply donation from our acceptable items list.

WBP Acceptable Food Donations:
14 oz or single serve peanut butter, canned tuna and chicken, granola bars, breakfast bars, real fruit strips, individual packages of cereal, oatmeal, popcorn, cheese crackers, pretzels, veggie sticks, boxed rice and
macaroni and cheese, 8-12oz canned pastas and vegetables. Please NO perishable or glass items

SS Acceptable Supply:
Donations: Crayola 24 pack crayons, Crayola 10-12 pack thin and broad tip markers, Crayola 12pk colored pencils, Ticonderoga 12pk pencils, Elmer's individual glue sticks, Mead 100-sheet composition book, Post-It 100ct notepads, 100ct index cards, Sharpie black permanent markers, EXPO low odor chisel tip dry erase markers, BIC ballpoint blue or black pens, 100-sheet pack college and wide-ruled paper.

Volunteering Opportunities

Without the wonderful support and dedication from our amazing volunteers and donors, we wouldn’t have been able to provide service since 2008 to the children in Yates County through our Weekend Back Pack Program and School Supplies Program. It started with one woman and her dedication and continues with one community and their compassion. Milly’s Pantry offers several volunteer opportunities through our programming and Main Street Milly’s Market & Café.

Milly’s Market & Café (Operation)

Millys Pantry | Take Action

Greet customers
Assist shoppers
Operate register
Make Old-Fashioned Soda Fountain drinks
Kitchen prep
Design market window displays
Cleaning
Product restocking

Milly’s Market & Café Building

Perform cleaning tasks (interior)
Perform minor exterior maintenance(e.g. window washing, back deck upkeep)
Take on minor maintenance projects
Participate in major repairs/improvements

Weekend BackPack Food Program

Pack BackPack packs (1 hour weekly)
Transport BackPack food and packs (requires truck or van)

School Supplies Program

Inventory supplies
Assist with supplies ordering
Organize for distribution (July/August)
Participate in distribution to students at school locations (August)
Manage/participate in follow-on distribution at Pinwheel Market (August/September)
Develop/implement survey to assess program success and additional needs
